This event is not designed for children.

They are welcome but you will find very little of interest for them.

So...why Afton?

Many people have asked us...why Afton?  The answer was simple.  Silverback Distillery.  We took a trip to visit Denver and Christine after meeting them at our first Richmond Edition of the VA Moonshine Festival and we just took a real 'shining to them.  They are hard-working, class act folks with great products.  Once we tried their shine, we had to figure a way to work together.

 

Plus, the beautiful setting of their property overlooking the blue ridge mountains...well, breath-taking.  You will love this setting and the crisp, fall air as you sample more than a dozen moonshine offerings, beer, wine and new this year....high-end whiskey sampling, included in your ticket (while supplies last)

In addition, Project Local was founded to help other non-profits generate funds through events.  Our charitable partner in Afton is the Blue Ridge Tunnel Foundation.

 

The mission of the Claudius Crozet Blue Ridge Tunnel Foundation is to support the restoration, reuse, and historical interpretation of the Claudius Crozet Blue Ridge Tunnel as a community landmark and outstanding recreational and educational resource.
